I made this for my wife. She is always misplacing her keys and bankcards when she comes home, so I thought that maybe a pretty box will be a good reason to put them in the same place everyday. I started to do some inlay or legs or something more, but the more I tried to add the more it seemed to take away. I am really happy with this one. I guess that sometimes, less truly is more. It is made from mahogany with a maple handle and maple miter keys. It has a oak bottom that is covered in a orange microsuede fabric.

Thanks, I really like those wooden hinges. I’ve been wanting to give those a go. They look like they can be a pain.

Hi Joey, That is a Sweet Box, The beveled sides, the beautiful wood, the keys and the lip on the lid all work in unison to make this a wonderful project, I like it, thanks for sharing
