Hello LJ’s

Here some boxes made out of a piece of dutch cherry. It’s a different color than the cherry you normally see. I had this piece laying around for a long, long time. At one moment i knew what to do with it->boxes!!

The inside has got some maple on the side and black velvet on the bottom. I made 2 kinds of dividers: 1 curvy one made out of laminated fineer and the other just a straight one out of maple.

These boxes are also for sale, the money goes to a charity of your choice.

Thanks for looking

Fitting use for a fine piece of wood. I very much like the subtlety and clean execution. Simple boxes are often the hardest to get right, and I like these a lot.

Beautiful lines and color. The first one is my favorite. Great use of grain and that curved divider is icing on the cake.
Thanks for sharing.

These boxes really prove that sometimes a simple yet elegant design is best.

Nicely done! What exactly is “Dutch cherry”?
