This is a recent project my wife designed. We made it for a dear friend who is suffering from lymphoma. Of course I had to make a second one for the Mrs. We purposely “crack” doors and mend them for effect.

I really like the storage spot for the wooden bowl. I’ve never seen where the Shakers did this, but I bet if they’d thought of it, they would have!

This is a nice project. Getting an authentic distressed look is more of a challenge than a natural stain and finish.
