This is my first post, here is some of my amateur woodturning.
1st pic – bowl made of arizona alligator juniper, turns like red cedar maybe a little softer.
2nd pic – bowl made of gambel oak, very hard and dense, dang that torn end grain, gotta go much slower next time.
3rd pic – cookie jar made of black walnut, oak and red cedar segments.
4th pic – table with some kind of juniper slab top, pine legs i turned from some 2×4 scrap.
5th and 6th pics – lampshade for small desk lamp (not shown), pinyon pine top, alligator juniper wood solid rings and the glowing rings are some kind of root, either juniper or fir, very pitchy not sure how to seal this stuff.
Thanks for looking.

I just bought a lathe but I am holding back using until I take a class but your pictures sure make a person want to find some wood and get with it.

Nice lot of turnings, doesn’t look like the work of an amateur specially the cookie jar. Look forward to seeing more. Welcome to L.J’s you will enjoy the company. To Alexander, why not go for it, there is lots of information and how to do it on the net specially here.
