These are a few rocking horses that I have made in the past two years… The big horse has a box built in to it hidden under the saddle… The leather work was done by a local amish man…

ahhh…i’m in such a rocking horse mood. Actually in my case it is going to be a rocking alligator. Currently I am designing it, and since there are no other rocking alligators I am having to go to rocking horses for my inspiration.

Jonathan did you design the horse that rides on the dowels? I really like that design.

The plan for the smaller horse was purchased at woodcraft.com.. Its called 50’s era rocking horse… The plan comes with full scale drawings..This is a good weekend project for anybody into woodworking…Believe me, once you build one you will be building several more….I get asked to build this horse more than anything else.. People love them, especially the kiddos!!
