Log dresser. The pannels are 1” cypress, I plan to make a relief in them molesworth style, just havent decided yet on what they will be. There are 4 pannels, I am thinking the “end of the trail” indian on a horse as one. Maybe a buffalo as another. Any ideas are welcome please.

I love this, if I ever get a cabin in the mountains, this is exactly what I would want in it. Awesome!

I like it as it is. Your work shows a great eye for materials in all your pieces. Adding a figure , to me, would take away from a truely fine piece. But it’s what you want it to be.

Very nice.
Please don’t add any art work on the panels. I agree with Doc, it would take away from the beauty of it.
If you just gotta do it, stay away from the “end of the trail”; been done to excess IMO.
A good furniture design has no more than 3 elements of the design feature. You have accomplished this. To add art work would be too much.
Thanks for posting.

To me this is not Log furniture, It is fine furniture made with logs. Sometimes an artist does not know when to quit. Then the idea is lost. I keep recomending a book by Seth Stem which is the only book he did but there was more there than any workshop I ever went to.

Oh, it is so nice to find another fan of rustic! I love all of your projects. I’ve been trying to get the nerve up to build a rustic dresser myself…Now I have inspiration!
