I can understand about the repetition being boring but it is a nice piece but you only need 15 more to complete the pawns.
Maybe one or two at a time when you have absolutely nothing else to do (with two girls that is not likely to happen anytime soon).

The trouble with repetitive turning is the first one isn’t too bad but you have to make all the others exactly the same, that is the tricky biy. good luck.

File the project for a time and return to it durling down time on other projects. It is not as boring when you mix it with other skills and tasks. Above all-you have much time to complete it and the reward will be great!

Your going to have to develop some patience if you really want to enjoy woodworking.
It’s most enjoyable when you have mastered a task.
The rest is just grunt work- training.
