This is the last maple pencil holder that I finished up last week. I built a set of 10 pencil holders over the last few months. I put out a video episode on these pencil holders back in April.

Great looking pencil holder. Should hold a lot of pencils. I like the contrasting woods.
-- You will never build it unless you try. The second one always turns out better.

Watched your video on making this and clearly you are talented.
It may have been the camera angle, but your blade height looked excessive and dangerous on the angled cut midway through the video. Usually want the blade to just clear the thickness of the board.
I was hoping you would keep the digits safe there. Sorry to be critical.

Actually what happened with the blade was that the pin that raises the blade broke and I had to lock it in place all the way up so that I could resaw the maple. I never got a chance to drop the blade down which was why the blade was up to high when I was cutting the 45 degree bevel.
