A client wanted a corner nook for her kitchen and had a general idea of what she wanted by supplying me with some furniture ads. I used Sketchup to develop a basic design for her and after about 4 changes came up with the final plan. This was the final result which took about 40 hours of work. Its made out of laminated pine and some solid pine boards. I used some techniques which I had not tried before such as making my own plugs to hide screws used in some of the joinery. She wanted it left unfinished as she was going to do that herself so I gave her a few tips and she is quite happy with her new kitchen addition.

Thanks for the comments. Yes the design is a little different. The small rail, 1”x1” pine, on top of the nook was put in so that the woman could tie back cushions onto it for the comfort of those sitting.
