This was my very first project, well, since I took an eighth grade shop class about 20 years ago. It’s all end grain, except for the curly maple. To “lock” the curly maple in place I used dowels all around it. So far it’s held up pretty decent, although it is a heavy one. All comments welcome and thanks for looking!

Couple questions you say it is heavy …. what are the dimensions
And you really made the maple POP what finiish did you used\
