My first furniture project. Learned a lot about mortise and tenon joint making. My wife did the seat for me. This is going to be a gift for my daughter-in-law. The project is from “Woodcraft magazine” oct/nov 2010.

Good looking chair. Those are very comfy. We use ours to rock the youngest grandaughter . She loves it !

Nice work, is this a morris style rocker? I have always wanted to build a Morris chair.

I would love to have that rocker myself. It really looks comfortable and I could really put it to use. Congratulations.

For your First furniture project you chose a Chair? You are fearless! Great job, and it will make a wonderful gift for your daughter in law.

Very nice! Wood is cherry? Finish is some kind of clear coat?

The wood is maple with a cherry stain and four coats of tung oil. It is a art’s and craft style according to the project guide from the Magazine.
