Not much to say—just another queen size bed
On a lumber searching trip to Nashville the company we went to look at was running a special on Tiger Maple at 2.95 a board foot if 100 board foot was bought—brother decided that would be good for a bed so he bought it and a sheet of plywood to match then he told me—”....now you can build me a bed!!”
Needless to say there was no plans, no idea how much lumber was going to be needed, no idea what he wanted
This is what came of that stack of sticks
Clear Lacquer finish.
The pictures definately don’t do the figure justice

Looks lovely to me—I like the simple elegance of the design! And I’m sure even nicer in person!

What did you use to secure the rails to the head- and footboard?

I know how that is, when my wife goes to the yard with me I know she is wanting me to build her something, which is fine by me, but I need that one tool to do this, so I have to go buy it. My tool collection has grown and she is happy so. The bed looks great, and I am sure the figure is awesome! nice job…

Hey Jeff! This looks great. I am starting to plan for a king sized bed project of my own and wanted to ask a question about the posts. Are those things solid? If not, could you share how you did them?

Thanks!

So how many board feet did you end up using? :)
