I recently bought my 5 year old her first set of (Real) tools so she needed a tool tote to carry them in. I started with a 4 foot by 8 inch board and ended up with a tool tote that is 16 X 8 X 8 inch. It is assembled with only Gorilla Glue and clamps. I also added a wooden 1/4 inch dowel into each end of the handle for extra strength. A great simple and cheap project for kids to help with.

My grandfather was a carpenter by trade and I remember him making me a tool tote when I was 5. Long, long time ago.

Awesome project! Well done! My boys each have one similar to this one.

Looks like a great project. Planning to give my daughter one this coming Christmas with a new set of tools. She already has a small collection which I need to add to.
Hope your daughter enjoys using it for many years to come.
