So I saw this post a few days ago…. and my wife fell in love with it :)

And yesterday we were at Lowes getting something and she says “let’s go get some bins and make that table”. And that was it, we grabbed some bins, 2×4’s and a bag of sand and we were off. I cut the first one all by hand, and really took my time….. enjoying it. And all the time she was right beside me helping the entire way. As soon as it was in the yard with kids crowded around it, she tells me “ok, now let’s use that power saw.” LOL. I was just about to argue, but then it started to rain, and so I gave in for the sake of time. After all, I wanted to let the kids play with it some after we were done.

So, two tables… one with sand, and one with water. Which when mixed gives me 4 happy kids, and some happy neighbor kids to boot.

Great idea! Yet another day to love LJ’s!! Thanks so much everyone for all of the great inspiration you provide! :)

Good idea. Sometime back, I had children running around our place. Now they are heading towards adolescence. Would have made that for them kids had I known.

I am glad and honored that I could help someone with my woodworking. I hope your kids enjoy it as much as mine does!

Christine! Long time no see :) If I only had room in the house for a lego table…... but perhaps if I put that there, and this over there….. ;)

Ed- Thank you! Ah, there’s always time to make kids things. :) Maybe on the next go round with the grand kids.

David- They are loving it, and thank you, thank you first and foremost for your service, I salute you. And thank you for the many great ideas that you have shared. You have many! :)

Nice tables. My only suggestion would be to grab a jig saw or a belt sander and round over those corners. Great job.
