Last Box I made in high school. All the Sides are made of a different wood, with the oposiing side inlay in the wood. So if one side is Cherry and the other side is Maple, the cherry side has maple inlays and the maple side has cherry inlays. Pretty neat if ya ask me. There is a Sugar Maple side, Cherry, Walnut, And Poplar. The top has all of those woods and then with a purple heart handle. I turned it on the lathe, the little blocks are purple heart and I chamfered the top and burnt it. Turned out nice. Enjoy!

Matthew, very nice box! This will bring back good memories of this class and high school, maybe not now but down the road. I wish I could have made a box instead of a water ski. The box I would still have, the water ski broke after first use. Boxes are great for learning woodworking skills and you have done a great job on all of them. Keep up the great work and good luck in your next stage in life

Matthew, you did a real nice job on that box and I’ll bet you got a good grade on it.
