Made this planter, and cut enough pieces to make a second, over the weekend. It is made out of cedar fencing that a neighbor gave me last fall. The screws are stainless steel. There is metal screen covering the bottom, we tend to get a lot of bees, wasps, and hornets that like to fly in from the bottom and create a new home inside.. The top is not attached as yet. I have left the corner posts exposed a touch to give more space for the pot and to give me an option for a top or lid. The finish is spar poly.

Thanks for looking.

Looks like I have to put – refinish the deck – on the list of things to do.

Looks great! i like it. I might have made the top frame a little narrower but it looks good as it is.

My wife wanted something that you could put between two chairs and still sit a glass or something on it – once I anchor the top.
