Hi everyone…I decided to kill about 4 hours and came up with my own 2 x Morris chair. I re-purposed about a dozen 2×4s, 1 2×6 and a chunk of 2×12 left over from a door header. Threw it together with some split-stop deck screws and a couple coats of deck stain/sealer. Now I need to run to my local discount store and pick up some chair pads for it and I’m set. Now my wife wants me to build one for me! Go figure…!

I figured I saved half the cost of say using 1×4s and the like. Even if you used new lumber you could put one together for about 50.00. Now the wife likes this one so much..I think I have the okay for a pair of quarter sawn oak Morris chairs for the family room!
