A week or so ago, I finished up a scrollwork of Han Solo and took it into work.
It was pretty much sold the moment one of my co-workers laid eyes on it – along with the request of doing an image of Boba Fett. Another co-worker of mine who was standing with us echoed his request for Boba Fett and I made them a discounted offer if they both wanted one – stack cutting rules!
Now, to find the right image…............ If you look around all you basically see are two images of Boba. One of just his head and the other of him aiming his rifle. Both of these are overused, in my opinion. I finally found some artwork as well as an image showing the front view of his entire body (Pics 5 & 6).
Did a little artwork of my own in PhotoShop and this is what I came up with. Oh, I also added a planet above him to fill in the empty space.
The both images are cut from a single piece of ornamental cherry that I re-sawed, planed and cut to the proper shape.
Works measure 7 1/2×11 inches and are just around 1/4 inch thick. Finish is a quick soak in lemon oil and then backed with thick felt.
