I had a variety of scrap wood that I glued together and put on the lathe. Not sure of all the varieties but it looks like walnut, purpleheart, oak, maple, cherry, and who knows what. The finish is a wipe on poly.

My wife is a Quilter, this reminds me of one of her patchwork quilts, more like a jig saw, the iregular patern works well with this one & does indeed looks like a collection of left over scraps, well done
