An old beaten-up boat rod with a nice bodied blank in a pawnshop… what choice did I have? The wooden handle was a mess, looked like a miniature telephone pole…really rough. The rod blank was stripped for another rod assembly, the guides ..chucked out, the handle… looked like a turning blank gone bad.. nothing on TV at I turned the lower half of the handle into a new handle and a foregrip for my new bait rod! No one is going to pick this guy up mistaking it as theirs at the state park!

They may not mistake it for theirs but don’t be too sure that they won’t pick it up given half a chance. It’s a beaut.
