This is a 14” inch wide turning I did about a month ago. Reminds me of a wave and sunset.

Magnolia wood.

Really nice, but I don’t see any relevance to outer space. Some day soon I may even get back into my shop.

Fantastic work… ...that is a beautiful piece of magnolia. This piece really honors the beauty of the wood. Love the color gradation in the grain across this piece. I had a similar (sunset) thought when I first saw this piece and before I read your description – only I was in the mountains, while you were at the beach!
