Torsion box and table

Project by Davesfunwoodworking posted 660 days ago 1013 views 10 times favorited 9 comments Add to Favorites Watch

I needed a bigger table so I went to the drawing board and made this 4 feet by 4 feet torsion box. I made it out of 3/4 MDF. It is something all shops should have. I wanted it to be the same hieght as my table saw so I could put it as my out feed table also a glue up table. On the bottom I made it so I could store all my hand tools.

Nice job. Hey, is that my tablesaw? I thought about replacing that extension with a router table, too. How do you like it?

Very well done Dave. I also like the way you added the router table to the extension wing.

I have used it a few times and love it. I should have built it a year ago when I bought my saw.

Great idea Dave. This really is a must if you are going to cut long boards or sheet goods. I like the “extras” you put on this as well. I have been toying with something of this nature so I have to use this as an “inspiration”.

That should make life easier for you – must be nice to have enough space to have it.

I love it. I have the same Sears saw and have had really good luck with it so far. I really like the router insert.

I too have the same saw and I have wanted to do the same thing to mine. That looks great!
