Amazing, wonderful contemporary design, if you have time what is the finish you used and what kind of joinery did you use for your assembly

Thanks for sharing, I love LJ,s so much talent in one place

Beautiful!!
Nice blend of contrasting woods.
I like how you worked that knot on top to contast the perfect sides. Sorta like a beautiful woman's beauty mark.
Also, the finish does POP!

God Bless,

Beautiful! Like the modern design, the flow of grain across the doors, contrast of wood both in the doors and the case - not to mention the A+ workmanship. Thanks for sharing.

Veneer, or solid wood? Unique challenges, either way…

I like it, though! Well composed.

Very impressive… you have matched the woods well and the natural colors of the woods compliment each other nicely!

This is a very striking piece. I hope you were able to keep it and not just give it up to a client.
Would love to know if it is veneer or solid. Good work.

It would appear to be solid wood in looking closely at the end grain and how it mates up with the flat grain on the front. Either that, or you did one heck of a disguise job.

This is a stunning piece! (It was the first thing my eye was drawn to on the Project homepage out of everything on the screen.) The simple, clean lines really put the emphasis on the wood contrasts, which were well-chosen, sized, and placed, in my opinion.

Did you choose the semi-exposed hinges to go with the case bottom and have a bit of metal up top, rather than going with a concealed/internal hinge?

Wow, what a fantastic piece you've created! Thank you for sharing it with us.

Thank you all for the feedback. The doors are solid wood. The case is mitered with walnut keys.
