I absolutely love my Veritas Twin-Screw Vise. I’m glad I decided to buy it when I built my bench. Now, I’m not usually all that vein about my shop, as long as it looks half way decent, but there was something about the second screw that bothered me. If you leave the handle in the screw, it tends to get in the way. You need to either constantly adjust it to keep it out of the way or remove it. Typically you just leave it off, but then it has an unfinished look. It’s like its missing something. I decided there must be something I can do, and I came up with this. Looks good and is functional. It no longer has the unfinished look.

yea, i’d love to put one of these on, but after what I shelled out for the vice, my budget is about shot.

Yeah, fellas. When I started putting together my dream bench, it started getting pretty depressing in terms of price. The bench I sketched up cost as much as a PM2000

Clever modification.

Yeah – I’ve gotten very tired of whacked knuckles from the second handle. I may make one of these myself.

Have your say...
