Finished my son.s kit. doors,bath,bed rm. He had a little time off. So he came here to az. went and got some oak. 48 doors,12 drawer fronts. Last yr. we made all the face frames,they went back to tex. This yr. doors. We ran short of time( he was called back to work) we got them glued up,and off to tex they went. While he was in wis.i made the door handles. When he got home i sent them ups to him.He sanded them,doors,glued on handles,stained and finished them last week. min wax stain,sanding sealer,poly top coat.Didn’t quite get done he has 4 drawers to do, but work calls so he is back in wis.

I like how you made the handles. How many hours do you estimate you and your son put into making/installing these cabinets?

I’d say about a week, but he installed ,stained and finished them in Tex. So with going to Wis. and all the normal interruptions,i know several days.but not sure. He did all the sanding at home and put 3 coats of sanding sealer,sand after ea.coat then 4 coats poly. so not sure how many hr’s BTW this took about 4 yrs to build as he works on the road,so we worked as his time worked out for him. Carcase’s 4 yr ago, face frames last yr, doors 2 mo. ago.
