This is a hall/sofa table I made to donate to a breast cancer charity auction. I was given the wood, and was told that the lighter color stuff was cherry. I’m confident that the base and drawers are cherry, but i’m beginning to beleive that the top is some sort of maple due to the curl. Either way the wood was free and it went towards a good cause. The stripes on top, pins in the legs, and parts of the handles are black walnut. I used pinned mortise and tenon joinery, and the finsh is shellac and wax. Hope you enjoy.

Looks like maple to me too (of course, photos can be deceptive). I really like the design of these tables. The racing stripes are very cool. I’m confident that it will draw a lot of money for a good cause. Well done!
