Project Information

I started this chair about eight months ago, hoping to give it to my daughter-in-law before my fifth grandchild was born. I suffered a serious hand injury shortly thereafter and was unable to complete it until now. I have also completed the blog entry on the building, finishing and upholstery of this chair. It can be seen here…. http://lumberjocks.com/DaveConry/blog/19520

This came out fantastically. I'm very impressed with how it came out as well as your approach and planning of the different stages of the build. Thanks for making the blog about the project, it has given me some ideas.

This looks sturdy and comfortable. The blog is very well done. Thanks for being so thorough. I know it has certainly been a journey you will always treasure. And now, future generations have this rocker to treasure, thanks to your diligence and fine craftsmanship. Congrats on the grand child, too.

As I look around this sight I see so many awesome projects created by so many creative people that I seldom feel that I have much to offer in return. Every time I click on a project or read a blog I learn something new. The education that I am recieving here is priceless. Thank you all for the inspiration and the kind words.

Dave, super work!!!

I also agree w/you about this site. Lots of incredible talent/knowledge here.

I have no real woodworking talent, but I love spending time on this site and in the shop and when I give cuttingboards or such away people like them.
