Not the usual square or rectangle this time. This is a little higher off the ground than usual for pool access. The homeowner passed on the lattice or underpin for now. Solid as a house foundation and as usual all screwed with Deckmate type screws.
We started about 11:00 am Tuesday and finished Thursday afternoon. 80 man hours.

I don’t have a pool… but need a deck… This one is great. How long did it take to build?

I love it! And I’m really wishing I had that pool about now. I went and checked out your pergola and that thing is fantastic. It would be nice if I could have both of those incorporated into one.

In the old days if you left a gap between the decking boards shrinkage would cause the gap to become to large. Is the treated lumber they are putting out now shrink less? I have heard they are using a different treatment. Less toxic, dryer? TIA
