One old broken piece of broken marble or stone.
One old set of disused legs (in this case from a sowing machine).
Add one piece of plywood cut to fit with a 15 degree edge bevel.
Slather the entire thing with black paint.

Assemble and dry in sun until done.

The result is instant gratification for a results junkie. It was a fun outdoor summer project.

Hi Roz. A nice way to use an antique sewing machine stand. Looks very nice. My son is looking to buy a house in Sweden and today I saw this in one of the rooms shown in the prospect. Small world. Also my 90 year old MIL has one of these and she has promised it to my oldest son.

Agreed – it’s a good put together piece!

Nice one Terry, I have a couple of these outside, I did one with Kwila slats and put an shallow half way shelf under the top one, the other I did with ceramic tiles with a hardwood edge band.
Is this a short departure from finishing thoes chairs:)))

Oh yeah, I am still working on the chairs. I just got tired of looking at the pieces of this hanging around and needed to get something to support the marble before it became broken and useless.

Nice garden accent. I just turned a base like that into a vanity sink.
