This is my home theater and even though this is an entire room I think that it still fits here since it includes home built cabinets and paneled walls. The entire room is 13’x26’ and was just a big empty rectangle when I started. The drop ceiling, raised floors, columns and cabinets were all built out over the course of about six months. There are two raised platforms for seating (see my other posts) and the screen is 9’ wide by 5’ height.

The wall inserts are fabric wrapped padded panels. They help with the sound inside and outside the room and a nice bit of texture and softness to the walls.

Looks incredible and classy! You’re lucky to have such a space to dedicate to a theatre in your home. Nice work!

Oh man, I got to get to work on my theater. It’s still just an empty rectangle. What kind of wood and stain is that? Nice work.

Have your say...
