My wife used to paint these holiday figures and I would mount them on poles so people could stick them in the ground in front of their houses on different holidays. One of her best customers was a lady named Mary who died of Lou Gerig’s disease last year. Mary’s sister stopped over last week and wanted to know if I could make her a couple stands so she could display the figures inside the window so someone would not steal them at her house and her mother’s house. So this is what I came up with. The sticks are 3/4 thick and ranged from 1” to 1 3/4” wide depending on how big the figure was. I made the hollow part .820” x 1 7/8” and fasted the vertical tubes into the base with Kreg screws going sideways into the base. The bases was a veneered top I had laying around the barn. Everything was recycled!! That is cool now a days. It used to be using up scraps but this is more politically correct!!! I hope she like them.
I could not find a long thumb screws so I used eye bolts to clamp them in.

Great idea Jim, my brother used to have two of them a man and a woman kind of cartoon with their names on them and he would set them up in from of their motor home in a campsite and most of the time they were gone in the morning after buying a few more he had to take them inside every night.

I think this is a great way to display these figures. They look very festive, as well.

Thanks for sharing
