For my friends Eagle Scout ceremony, we decided to make him a trophy. I went to my shop, and created the ugliest abomination I could have. The base is a treated 2×4 that I used to test all of my tools on, and the accents are washers, screws, and nuts that were hot-glued on. The arm (for lack of a better term) is a piece of bamboo that I brought back with me on the plane from Maui. I included pictures of me obtaining it in a waterfall. The top is composed of shavings from my jack plane, wrapped in saran wrap and taped on with duct tape. I gave it to my friends the night before the ceremony, and they spray-painted it silver and pink, and glued a toy dog named “Bug” on top. The actual construction took me almost an hour, and to my amazement, my friend loved it.
