This is our home bar that I built at our previous home. We wanted to have an Irish Pub style bar in our basement so after building the room itself I made the bar and small entertainment center. It was my first major home and wood working project and I was ultimately very happy with how it all turned out. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of my progress and I am still kicking myself today for that. The bar and entertainment center were both built primarily with solid red oak or oak laminated plywood and was finished with a Bombay mahogany colored stain.

Great job on the bar and entertainment center. You should consider building bars for a living, its that good. Keep up the good work. Doug

That’s a great job, you should be proud…any idea as to how much time went into this? Thanks for sharing.

Awesome. We just bought a house with a pool table in the basement—I’ve been thinking of putting in a bar of some sort nearby and may have to “draw inspiration” from yours!

Previous home… That must have clinched the sale when the buyers saw this…

I have added your bar, et al, to my favorites list. I planning something for a friend and he may just like this concept. Thanks for sharing.

You were able to sell after building this! Did you take it with you? LOL

I guess you have to build another now.

Beautiful work. Where did you get the Bombay mahogany stain? Looks awesome on oak. What time does the bar open??
