Built-In Wall Unit No-picture-s No-picture-s Click the pictures to enlarge them

I was asked to post this unit for a closer look. It is made in three sections with base and upper. The two sections on the right have doors with adjustable shelves. The section on the left has one door and a compartment lined with sheet metal for wood. The doors are 3/4” plywood with 1 1/2” solid stock fastened to the edges with 45 degree corners. There is a framed panel section and mantel over the fire place. All edges has have a 3/8” radius. I alway fastened my base top to the upper unit when I built them. It makes the upper section stronger and all you have to do is slide them in after your base is fastened to the wall. Kind of plain but the lady loved it! Hope this helps you and thanks for asking!

Tom,

This is a nice set of cabinets. I like the transition over the mantel it really brings the two pieces together.

I hope you had plenty of help when you moved the upper cabinets into place. I have a similar set of built-ins in my house and I waited for my two sons and some of their friends, who were into weight lifting, to come over to the house before trying to move them. Even with all this help it was still a challenge to move the cabinets because of the weight and they were so top heavy.

Thanks for sharing.
