Built this in my school woodshop, (Landmark High School). This took me about a week and a half. The dove tails were cut with a saw by hand. This wood used to be part of a childs bunk bed. But i cut it up and planed the surface and created this.

saweeeeeeet, if you stick sandpaper down to your saw table and run the top and top of the box over it you will get a better fit where the box opens and closes. It’s just a little trick all box makers should know.

Nice work on the dovetails, thats an art. I lived in wakefield for 1 1/2yrs, while driving gas trucks. Even worked at holden oil. I delivered right down the street from your school. small world.
