First id like to say thanks to andy for his blog on making this style of box …thanks andy . This is my first attempt at this box and let me say it was fun . I only wish i had the eye that andy has in sculpting the wood . I kept going back and forth on the sanding not knowing what looks nice and if i was doing it right but this is what i came up with . I will be trying this again any tips on the sanding would be nice as i thought it was nicely sanded till i stained the pine .All thats left is the glass and an insert ill be adding to the top . This box holds 1000 poker chips and cards . The lock is hand made and uses a antique skeleton key.The inside is lined with leather and the box made of solid pine
Oh yeah there was another guy on here that gave me the idea of the drop down door in the front and just can not find him to give him his props …sorry =)

That’s beauty! I may have to upgrade my chip case…
