I saw this in Wood magazine and wanted to make it for my son’s birthday. I made it out of oak. It was alot of fun to make – just alot of sanding. It really made me want a spindle sander. It would of saved me alot of time. I had a drum sander kit for my drill press but they were too short so it took some extra time to finish. I used a hvlp spray gun to put a coat of sherwood laquer base vinyl sealer and 2 coats of laquer semi gloss sanding with 320 grit between each coat. I hope you like it .

Very cute! I wonder if you made both feet curved he’d sway from the pendulum motion? Hmmm…

Really nice clock!
Did you have any difficulty getting the pendulum from hitting the sides?

Thanks for all of the comments. My son really loves his new clock. The movement took a little playing with to get it adjusted.
