Here is a video of the panel saw I am working on. As soon as I get some more batteries I will post a video of my shop and other projects I am working on, like my air powered pocket hole drill.

This is a panel saw project I have been working on. I am not quite done with it yet. The saw is a worm drive skil saw. The carriage rides on ptfe slides I machined from blocks on my mill. The frame is aluminum tube, still not as light as I thought it would be though! I had use about a 40lb counter weight. Anyone else built one of these? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, I am just getting used to this site. I love it!

get a good bearing like used on a lazy susan or a rocking chair. This would allow you to turn the saw easily but it needs to index and lock in place accurately. The counter weight would have to be removed to operate it horizontally I suppose. Certainly a start though. I have wanted a panel saw but just cant justify the space required for storage when it isn’t in use.

This looks real good. Congratulations.
