These are a few of the captains beds that I have done. I have built over a dozen different ones this year and dont have photo’s of all of them…I am thinking of starting a business that focuses spacifically on these…any thoughts or suggestions as far as a business plan or marketing stratagy goes…the last photo is of a couple of simple night stands built out of alder which are yet unfinished. They were designed to go with the captains bed to allow the drawer to still be opened with out the obstruction of the table. You can see more of my work on my website at www.udreamitwoodworking.com

Nice job. I am thinking of making myself a captian’s bed, however with the bottom set inward some because I have a habbit of kicking the bed post when i dont have shoes on. I also want to put a bookcase headboard on mine to save on the room a night stand takes up in the bedroom.

Are your drawers on slides or anything?

You do nice work.

The drawers are all on epoxy slides…You have a good idea of the inset bottom…Thank you for the compliments
