So I posed a question a few months ago about how to tint red birch to get more red…here is the result. I just ended up using a light cherry stain. All of these cabinets are solid hardwood. Other than the backs and the sides for the lowers that are not seen. The end panels of the lowers and the entire island are all solid wood as well as the shelves in the uppers which are fixed, not adjustable per customer request. The glass is not yet in place and as you can see some more work to be done but I am waiting for the customer to send me finished photo’s.

Nice design . Is there a reason that you didn’t use Cherry ?
Thanks.

The customer wanted this wood to go with the rest of the house I think. He orriginally didnt want to stain the cabinets but after I sprayed clear on some of the hardwood he decided he wanted more color… The floor is brazilian cherry. Thank you for your comment.
I love your work as well. Those are the types of things I wish I had more time to work on…I have only one cutting board that I have done as a gift to my wife…here it is
