Mahogany Reel seat , handle - fore grip

An elder fishing buddy having trouble with his bait rod being too small for his arthritic hands wanted a bigger grip that wasant made of foam…. so a mahogany fore grip and handle seemed the right way to go.

Very nice! Is that a sabiki rod? Does the line run up through the center of the rod?

wrenchhead, Nope it is not a sibiki… how odd… I DID turn a sabiki tip and created a “Frankenstein” sabiki out of an old telescopic rod that had the tip broken off and lost numerous guides….. added a roller guide ahead of the reel seat and drilled a nice hole for the line, added a turned tip and viola. I’ll post it soon.
