Very cool
Do you wrap guides and build complete rods? I would love to see more pics of the entire rod. Did you have to spin dry it to keep the finish from sagging?

wrenchhead, Yep, I build most of my rods from a “rod-blank” or salvaged rod that is stripped to the blank, underwrap the guides, flex coat the underwraps and then wrap and flex coat the guides. And yes, I have to turn them slowly on a rod drier motor for several hours to keep the Flex coat from sagging.

woodnut, Thanks! I will post some more pics of the finished rod once the remainder of the guides and reel are on. It’ll be a little tough since its a 15 footer…and Im not sure where to post the pics since the woodwork is a finished project but the rod is not…. hmmmm…hmmmm.
