My First Bowl

This is my first bowl on a lathe, as well as my first attempt at segmented turning. The base and window frames are walnut, the windows are maple and the other layers are birch. Finish is three light coats of “salad bowl” and measures 7” in dia. and 3 1/2” tall.

for a first bowl it looks excellent… especially considering it is segmented! I’ve been turning bowls for a couple years now, and have just started getting into some light segmenting

WOW, that’s ambitious for a first bowl. Great Job. I still haven’t ventured into segmented turning yet but the day is coming. Thanks for sharing.
