Cribbage is our favorite family game, it’s something we all enjoy (particularly the one in a winning streak). The board I assembled is of mahogany and maple. The center mahogany piece is recessed at the back to take a pack of cards and a set of pegs. For this board, I acquired some brass and steel pegs which came in a satin bag (very fancy). I used a dovetail router bit to create the track for the sliding lid. A rather simple project that provides us with satisfaction and pleasure.

Very nice! I have been asked to make one for a family friend. did you use a template to drill all the holes? I found a printable paper template on line which I plan on using.

Bill, I drew the lines across the board and then set up a fixture that allowed me to drill the holes down the board, adjusting the fixture between the inner and outer rows.

Cribbage is one game I never learned to play. Maybe one of these days. Well done; looks simple and elegant, Taff

I made one of these out of cherry and maple 15 years a go. I think there were plans in wood magazine if I am not mistaken. We have used it often.

Hi Taff, great job! I made this exact cribbage board 25 years ago out of oak and walnut. I would love to make another one, but can’t find the plans or the board. Where did you get the plans? I think I got the plans from a magazine. Thanks, Rob
