Garden arbor completed but still needs more stain, but the rain started to pour !
The round posts turned out good with the simple router lathe i build for this project .
The last 3 pics are of a simple way to draw a arch with 3 nails located at start, center and end of the arch
I use 2 boards and rest them on the nails and screw them together .
I then slide the boards along the nails with a pencil located in the intersection of the 2 boards drawing the arch
eliminating a large compass rod ETC ( SIMPLE ) the nail in the centre location gets removed .
This btw is the top arch board of the arbor .

That looks heavenly! And I see an inkling of a clematis – it will be gorgeous.

This is fantastic! You are reading my mind. I am planning one much like it. Inspirational thanks. How long did it take?

thank you all
there is a update post on drawing the arches and i will elaborate further in some future post .
it took about 20 hours to build this arbor not counting coffee and lunch breaks but this is a off and on project
and no rush !
i am currently building another arbor to replace the old one in the back yard and it will match this one but will have flower boxes attached to it
will post it when done .
