It is incredable! and must have been painstakenly time consuming.Having several bird feeders and enjoying them, your bird house is of particular intrest to me. How maney logs are involved in the building prosses? Ill bet your project is sumwhat on the hefty side. Good job.
Doug.

Thank you Doug
I have built 20 birdhouses so far. i am starting another one today . it took me 5 hrs to cut all the logs and it made 4 heaping wheel barrel loads of sawdust so far. that is before any construction. this house took me three days to build. the cedar is very old so they are not as heavy as they look. i use 1/4” plywood inside. easy to remove to clean them. they take a lot more time if i run the wood through the planer. i really enjoy building them. i am starting to get a lot of recognition for them from all over the world. if you click on my link i have a bunch more of them. http://community.webshots.com/user/cranbrook2 thanks again john

As usual, great job John. It comes as no surprise. It is easy to see that you enjoy creating these projects…it shows, however, I have seen plenty of your work in the past so…once again, this comes as no surprise. This piece is a 10.
Take care!

Holy cow! That’s a palace for our avain friends. Hope you charge ‘em a high rent to keep away the riff-raff. I would hope that an appropriately styled bird takes up residence, Purple Martins, maybe?

You are too good for your own good. Nice work. I know if I was a bird, I’d stay a night or two at that bird hotel as long as the continental breakfast was included.
