Thanks for all the great feedback guys and gals. Barb and Chuck, I do all my hollowing by hand using the Kelton hollowing tools and some that I have made after reading David Ellsworths book. I paid a lot for my Keltons but only about 15 bucks each for the ones I made.

I have a Kelton hollower I bought for $15 NZ at a tool mart, just the shaft, dont think the guy knew what it was for, put a nice long handel on & it is now 3' long, main shaft is 20mm dia, it's a beautie boy. (Made in NZ of course Kelton was a Kiwi)
