This is possibly my favorite bowl, I love the shape! Also because it’s so bloody hard (and because I kept making mistakes) the walls are some of the thinnest I’ve ever made.
It was my moms mother’s day present.
Also, this stuff is HORRIBLE to turn it makes such an enormous mess… I don’t think I’ll turn any more of it until I get one of those respirator masks… the chips are like tiny needles flying at you, and the dust is just terrible.

cocobolo is some great looking wood, always nice grain and nice deep color. I agree it is a but messy when turning but the end product seems to make it all worth while. you did a nice job on that one, thanks for posting…

Very nice job on this turning. It may be tough to work with, but it sure is a beautiful wood.

OH and I guess horrible to turn is probably not really accurate… it’s very turnable stuff it just makes a giant mess
