I can see you really like to make bandsaw boxes…they are fun aren’t they. Have you ever tried one on the scroll saw? A bit smaller of course, but still fun to make.

Hi there JustAGirl,

I love your work.

I knock out rough band saw boxes, mostly puzzle-type, as toys, but I want to make some nicer ones requiring fine finishes. Do you have any references or know of any online resources describing the complete finishing process for band saw boxes or other irregularly shaped objects? I’d like to know how to achieve some of the amazing high-gloss finishes I’ve seen on some of the boxes here at Lumberjocks.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful work with us.

I love making bandsaw boxes! I like that they can be any shape you can think of. These two actually have hidden little drawers.

From the number of boxes you have shown, you have been making these for some time. Ever thought of making your patterns avaliable for other in book form?

You do realize that you’re ADDICTED to that bandsaw, don’t you??? LOL
Love the inovative designs. Put together a blog or site for ‘em.
Nice work.

Larry, never thought about publishing. I’ll have to look into that. My designs come from a desire to be unique and different from the norm. Thanks for the idea.
