Evidence of addiction

I’m finally getting around to doing some turning and getting an end product that I’m kinda happy with.
This is about 7in o/d and 2in high. The “blank” was got from my favourite shop i.e buried at the bottom of a woodpile.
The grain came out nice (imho) after some sanding and a coat of poly.
Anybody thinking of buying a lathe, I warn you, be very very careful. It is totally addictive.

Yeah addictive, in the picture next to this post is a chap addicted to doing “lathe angels”, but I gotta get the chips somewhere so I might as well turn some stuff.

Nice bowl, you will spend all your time and money at the lathe as I do.
